Following 2 years of successful trainings, networking, and elections the Adelante Board is pleased to announce the next step. From the beginning, our goal was to expand the involvement of our communities in every step of representation. A central part of that is to open the conversation to include more people, and we are announcing the kickoff of our membership drive.

Benefits of Membership:

  • Providing essential support for our work:  recruiting, training, endorsing, and supporting candidates of color;
  • Members will be recognized on our website and Organizations/Unions may place a logo that will be displayed on each page and on letterhead;
  • Regular updates and reminders of campaign timelines/deadlines;
  • Information about volunteer opportunities including Adelante-sponsored canvassing for endorsed candidates;
  • Advisory vote to the Adelante Board on candidate endorsements;
  • Avenue for the development of policies, budgets and legislation around issues the impact communities of color;
  • Invitation to the annual “Celebration of Representation” reception for elected representatives of color.
